State Representative Jay Barrows joined long-time Foxboro home delivered meals driver, Mary Beth Dorman, on her weekly route to help raise awareness of the importance of Meals on Wheels. The #MarchforMeals campaign engages local "Community Champions" to join MOW drivers on meal delivery runs and meet some of the seniors who rely on the meal program and the social contact it provides. Free Mental Health First Aid Training (MHFA) offered - A CHNA-7 and HESSCO collaboration.

Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour course that teaches how to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. The training helps an individual to learn to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders.

This training is valued at $179.00 per person and is being offered free of charge.

Date: Friday, April 21, 2017
Location: Village Green Apartments - Clubhouse
71 Messenger Street, Plainville
Time: 8:15 am registration, check-in
8:30 am – 4:30 pm training (lunch provided)

RSVP required by Friday, April 14, 2017
This course will focus on mental health first aid for adults and elders and is appropriate for…

• Health and human service workers, social workers
• Caring citizens
• Members of faith communities
• Nurses, Care Providers
• Persons with mental illness and their families
• Policymakers
• Police, first responders, corrections, and security
