Please start planning now for the annual Friends of Medfield Seniors (FOSI)/Council on Aging (COA)Yard, Bake & Book Sale, scheduled for Saturday, April 27 at the Center at Medfield, One Ice House Road from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. The FOSI-sponsored fundraiser will support many programs and needs of the Medfield Council on Aging. ![]()

This special event has grown over the years to be the major fundraising activity for our seniors. FOSI is thrilled to hold this event again this year. It has always been a much anticipated event, as evidenced by the lines of people waiting to come into the Center in past years. Medfield COA Director Sarah Hanifan emphasizes how much the COA relies on community support for the FOSI Yard Sale each year. “Our success is not possible without the donations we receive. It is the ongoing public support that allows us to have a great sale.” ![]()

Many contributors have come to count on the annual COA Yard Sale as an opportunity to donate items they’ve been saving specifically for the Sale. Many residents even set aside a box which they designate as their “COA Yard Sale Box” and use it to collect items throughout the year that go directly to the sale. It’s that kind of dedication and reliability that make the Yard Sale such a great fundraising event. ![]()

That’s why residents are encouraged to donate items that can be sold at the Yard Sale. With your help, we should be able to accumulate more than enough items so we can have a great sale. And it’s important to remember that the proceeds from this event will be earmarked for COA programs and events. ![]()

Yard Sale items can be dropped off at the Center beginning Monday, April 22 through Thursday, April 25 from 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. with extended drop off hours on Wednesday until 6:00 p.m. On Friday, April 26 donation can be dropped off from 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 P.M. or until we are at capacity. We accept and appreciate all gently used items except for computers, printers and clothing. Unique items are always appealing to our shoppers.![]()

We had an amazing day on March 16. More than 800 runners and walkers participated in Mick Morgan's Sharon 5K for HESSCO and raised money for Meals on Wheels! We are so grateful for our sponsors and everyone who came out. Your support will help provide 700 meals a day to older adults in South Norfolk County!
