HESSCO remains committed to providing accurate information on COVID-19 Vaccine availability to those in our service area. HESSCO can provide information on options and assist with scheduling online appointments at state vaccination centers. To access this assistance, call 781-784-4944 and speak to our Information and Referral Department. If you are a current HESSCO consumer, please reach out to your Care Manager for this assistance.
HESSCO services have continued throughout the pandemic with protocols in place to ensure the health and safety of both our consumers and care professionals. Our office staff are available to respond to consumers’ needs and provide information services between 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday at 781-784-4944. We also have an on-call staff for urgent situations that arise after hours.
Our Care Managers, Protective Services Workers, Geriatric Service and Support Coordinators, and Nurses have adapted their visit protocols to assess needs by phone. If HESSCO deems a visit necessary due to an urgent situation, our staff follow all guidelines of the Executive Office of Elder Affairs, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and Center for Disease Control and Prevention to ensure the safety of our consumers and staff.
HESSCO’s Meals on Wheels program continues to deliver daily hot meals Monday through Friday. Please direct all new referrals for this program to the Information and Referral Department at HESSCO.
The HESSCO Home Care program continues to provide essential services to older adults, following all safety guidelines and protocols. Our local providers have an adequate supply of Personal Protective Equipment to ensure the safety and protection of consumers and care professionals. Please direct all new referrals for this program to the Information and Referral Department at HESSCO.
The HESSCO Protective Services program continues to safely and appropriately respond to any reports of abuse and neglect for older adults. Additional services that HESSCO continues to provide include support for family caregivers experiencing stress, assistance with health insurance counseling, and support for residents of long-term care facilities. Please contact the HESSCO office at 781-784-4944 for any of these services.
